Privacy Policy

What we collect

Tutor Sidekick collects the minimum necessary to run the product:

• Account information — your name and email address when you sign up.
• Lesson notes — the text or images you upload to generate study activities. These are yours.
• Study activity data — flashcard responses, quiz results, and vocabulary progress (used to power spaced repetition and your readiness score).
• Tutor–student relationships — which tutor account you are connected to, if any.

How it's stored

All data is stored in Supabase, hosted in the United States (US East region). Data is encrypted at rest and in transit. We use Supabase Row Level Security to enforce access rules at the database level — your data is not accessible to other users.

Who can see your data

Your lesson notes, vocabulary progress, and study history are visible only to you and the tutor you are directly connected to. Tutors cannot see each other's students. We do not sell or share your data with third parties.

We use the Claude API (Anthropic) to process lesson notes and generate study activities. Notes are sent to Anthropic solely for this purpose and are not used to train their models. See Anthropic's privacy policy for details.

How to delete your data

To delete your account and all associated data, email us at support@tutorsidekick.app. We will permanently delete your account, lesson notes, and all study data within 30 days of your request.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email and update the date at the top of this page. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.
